Public-address system definition, a combination of electronic devices that makes sound audible via loudspeakers to many people, as in an auditorium or out of doors.A public address system (PA system) is an electronic system comprising microphones, amplifiers, loudspeakers, and related equipment. It increases the apparent volume (loudness) of a human voice, musical instrument, or other acoustic sound source or recorded sound or music. PA systems are used in any public venue that requires that an announcer, performer, etc. be sufficiently audible at a distance or over a large area.

The controller can be used as a stand-alone system with up to six zones, or expanded to up to 120 zones using additional six-zone routers. Up to eight call stations can be connected. Interconnections are made using standard RJ45 connectors and shielded CAT-5 cable.

 Tabletop microphone

The Gooseneck Tabletop Microphone Kit is designed to provide dependable performance and simple setup for presenters and speakers in lectures, conferences, and meetings. It includes the Sennheiser MEG 14-40 gooseneck microphone, the Sennheiser MAT 133-S table stand, and an XLR 3-pin cable. Since both units operate on phantom power, no batteries or power adapters are needed.

The MEG 14-40 features a 15.7” gooseneck microphone with a cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. RF shielding minimizes interference and yields a greater signal-to-noise ratio. It connects via a built-in XLR 3-pin jack to the MAT 133-S table stand, which has a bi-color LED for status indication. The table stand’s programmable button has four modes—On, On/Off Toggle, Mute, and Talk.
